Martin Roeck Hansen is a creative whose work moves seamlessly between advertising, film, photography and conceptual art. Over the past fifteen years, he has shaped stories and visual worlds for some of the globe’s most influential brands, including Adidas, IKEA, Puma, Formula 1, The Absolut Company, and H&M.
Guided by a rare blend of instinct and innovation, martin’s work has reached audiences on an extraordinary scale — accumulating more than 2.5 billion views on YouTube. His career began as an agency producer at one of Sweden’s (at that time) most dynamic and talked about advertising firms Honesty later leading him to co-found the production company IAM, a creative studio known for merging dynamic and contemporary storytelling with brand expression. IAM’s feature film projects have garnered over 188 international film festival awards.
Through IAM, Martin has produced and directed acclaimed commercials, and documentary series such as Välkommen hem – Rinkeby United for TV4 as-well as creating and setting the tone for over 100 of the first episodes of the official YouTube channel for Absolut Vodka affirming his ability to craft narratives across the board.
His work has been recognized and discussed across the world’s most respected media outlets — from the BBC News to Fox News, NBC, and The New York Times and even in shows like Late Show with David Letterman.
With a visual language that is contemporary, colorful, and richly dynamic Martin has been honored with over 24 advertising awards, including Sweden’s Guldägget in the category film, as well as international awards like Cann, Epica and even YouTube’s own “Rock Video of the Year” for the music video for Tove Lo’s Habits.
